I'm telling you guys it's nice mowing in the dark to beat the Texas heat! Just watered the yard while drinking my coffee at 3:30am to keep her from heat stressing. No rain here now for awhile. Went from flooding to drought, but my grass sure looks good. LOL
The Cub sure has been doing a nice job. Time to grease her up and clean the air filter before the next go round. Hope your Cub is working as good as mine!

You have a really nice place; we have about dried out from Barry and the grass needs mowing. The mowing is bad enough in the heat & humidity but the trimming is the killer.
The NWS is predicting more showers Saturday thru Wednesday so if the yard is dry enough from yesterday's evening shower it will be tackled today.

Thanks Randy
The weather man said possible 50% chance of rain next Tuesday. I could use some now since the 95 degree heat set in.

That weeding is a killer sweat box event. I weed eated early in the morning and I was still soaked with sweat. There is only one time of year I don't mind using the weed eater and that's in the winter when the grass is already dead and the weed eater stays in the barn. LOL

Jeez, send some of that 80s south.
Our XT3 does a good job with mulching blades on the Bahia heads, even better job on the other green stuff.
I try to get the mowing done in the AM after the dew is off. But really the machine does a better job than our weed plot deserves!
I've already vowed a but load of top soil to the front (at least) next spring.

Maybe the front will head your way. Was 93F here at 5pm. A bit cooler when I mowed at 6:30. Mowed the shaded spots for a bit before hitting the open field.

Mines probably like yours. Mostly rough field for about 2 acres then 1/2 acre of yard. I'm gonna haul dirt in as well when I get my 3240s front bucket finished.

Built a quick sleeve hitch forklift set earlier today. Goal was to not use any of my good clean iron. Used my bent up AF box blade hitch, a piece of pipe out of the woods, and 2 green Bob War fenceposts.

Had to weld a couple sleeves in the pipe to keep the bolts from crushing it. I bolted the hitch in case I needed it for something else at a later date.

I know its light but will double the posts if needed or slip pipe over them and weld it.

Lifted my 200+lb gravel drag just fine and carried it 100ft.

Thanks. I can't tell you how many times I've wanted something like this so I didn't have to chain stuff up or needed to lift something heavy from the ground. I'm kicking myself b/c I burned a pallet when the builders left and now I need one.

The one I rigged and hauled the other day is a 16ft long one my siding was on. Not exactly easy to maneuver and it has stuff stacked on it.

Looks like it will make life a lot easier and save your back at the same time.
I haul stuff in my JD bucket that thing is huge so I have something to move heavy stuff. Glad you do to now. Bad backs aren't good to have as we both know. Do you have weights for the front of your Cub?

Yeah, loader buckets are awesome wheel barrows.

I dont have weights for the front of the XT3. Its pretty good up to about 250lbs. I figure when I get my 3240 bucket done I'll weld a couple pieces of square tubing in it to fit removable square tube forks.

This was just to get me by till I get my bucket done.
