Bolens GT2000 - Snowblower mounting harness question.

Hi Gang: I have recently found a snowblower attachment that will work on my Bolens GT2000. It is Model #50142 and according to the threads I have reviewed in this forum, it lines up with my tractor. I am totally stoked about it! The owner just advised me that he does not have the mounting harness for it though. It is just the snowblower itself. Any advice on how to proceed? Are these harnesses relatively easy to find? I was able to download a copy of the ownerís/service manual for my tractor through this forum (thanks again!), so I can likely figure out how to install it. I just want to make sure Iím not buying a Ďboat anchorí if this doesnít work out. Thanks in advance!

I'm not sure what you mean by "harness", but here are a couple pics of the bracket for mounting a SB on the GT2000/GTX20.

One is a single stage and the other a 2 stage. I don't but suspect the brackets are either the same or very close.

Re: Bolens GT2000 - Snowblower mounting harness question.

Hi Dan:

Thank you for responding! The owner of this snowblower used the words Ďmounting harnessí. I assumed he knew what he was talking about because I sure donít! This is all new to me, Brother! From what I can see in your photos, it looks like his snowblower is missing the long, tubular attachment that would run under the tractor. It is just the head unit itself. Do you think the long underbelly attachment could be purchased separately for it? Again, I apologize for not knowing the proper words to describe the attachment. If I can figure out how to attach a photo, I will post it shortly. Thanks again!

Re: Bolens GT2000 - Snowblower mounting harness question.

I have extra blower heads and not enough mounting frames. If the head is cheap enough, then buy it for parts. A complete unit will turn up eventually. Paul

Bolens HT23s-04, HT23, 1886-01, 1477, 1476, 1250, some miscellaneous GT's, and lots of attachments.
