Agco Allis 1316H

I keep thinking Im gonna keep one of these rigs for myself but they sell good... so here starts #5... PO had removed the hydro pump, front diff, wheels, engine tins, air box/filter... I dragged it out from behind the shop this morning, hooked up the batt charger, gave it a squirt of gas and it fired up, no smoke or ugly noises... so Im going to reassemble it. Got a front diff and wheels on it today....

Re: Agco Allis 1316H

Made some progress today, hydro pump installed, engine tins and air box, fuel system, chain drive to the front diff, brake linkage, engine cover, and a test drive

The PO has bypassed the neutral safety switch and the PTO switch is rusted solid so tomorrow I'll pull the steering console apart and go thru everything in there.

Re: Agco Allis 1316H

I think they're kinda goofy lookin myself..... BUT... they do cut very well

I got the electrics sorted out today, replaced the ign switch, neutral safety switch, headlamp, PTO switch, battery cables and installed a new battery... all workin as it should now.

Dug the deck out of the shed plus another parts deck which I'll work on tomorrow, and I will put a high back seat on it... the oem seat doesnt have a single rip so Im gonna put it away in case I sell the mower later on.

That's my 1956ish Massey Super 92 With a 12 foot blade for those heavy snow days...lol. Heated cab and refreshment holder. Rear power steering is a blast and turns on a dime. I think that's why I like that Agco Allis so much. Here's an old pic of my road. I like the goofy looking stuff as well as home made enginuity.

Re: Agco Allis 1316H

Had the Agco out mowing a few times now... workin the bugs out... wasnt getting fuel from the left tank, plastic starter gear stripped, hydro belt failed, and one idler pulley on the deck was a bit noisy... nothing major or even unexpected. Happy Happy

I don’t how you find those. I know of one near here and the guy won’t sell even though I haven’t seen him mow with it 6-7 years. Use to sit outside garage but now he built big garage; I guess it’s inside, or he sold to pay for garage.

Girls with large lawns like a guy with a really big deck!

Re: Agco Allis 1316H
