Slow Sub-forum? Just moved to a Simplicity from a JD - Questions!!

Hi All!

I've simplified my life by downsizing my property to a .4 acre's with a ranch style house. So, my "tractor" needs had to be adjusted. I sold my JD do everything diesel tractor for a pure lawn cutting machine. I purchase a used 2017 Simplicity Broadmoor with a 48" deck and 46 hours on the clock. My first cut was absolutely fantastic, but I think I had too high of expectations for the lawn striping. I cut at 4". That was very disappointing to be honest - LOL.

So, I'm in need of a mulching kit with some gator blades. Where are you guys ordering these for this tractor? I'm a little confused on exactly what I need and the best place to order? Seems I see mulching kits for all decks besides the 48".

Thanks in advance and looking forward to a successful "simplicity" experience.

ps.. seems this sub-forum is really, really slow?

I think this is your part number for the 48" fab deck mulch kit 1696421YP. I didn't see the mulch kit associated with the 48" deck with the broadmoor on parttree.com but it does show for a regent with 48" fab deck. Pretty sure they are the same but I would double check with dealer before ordering on amazon or something.

Nice looking machine.
Why are you calling this a sub-forum?

For sure the Simplicity forum has much less traffic than the JD forum just from a numbers stand point. I'm guessing that's why answer don't come as quickly as JD forum.

Thanks for the info on the part#. The local simplicity dealer is the local ace hardware/Lorlebergs . I went in 2 hours ago and the guy said "no clue" and kept going about his business. No sure why simplicity doesn't expect more out of the hardware stores - disappointing.

Sub-Forum - That's what its labeled on the site on "lawn and garden tractors by brand". then click on a sub-forum.

Ah, OK, gotcha.

There is lots of info on Simplicity at the website named Simple TrACtors. They are especially helpful with older models and fix-up maintenance references.

4 inches is kind of high...I have a Broadmoor from about 1999 and it does a great job with the stripes...I cut at just over 3" according to the guide on the tractor...this is not a good picture , but if you click on it you can see it a little better...the orange dot in the background is the Broadmoor
