If your stripes are not pronounced, the deck may not be adjusted properly. The full weight of the rear of the deck should be on the rollers...make sure that the lift chains are not holding the weight up off the rollers. There should be slack in these chains when fully lowered. I have seen these holding the deck with the rollers still a couple inches off the ground...it defeats the purpose of a full floating deck and diminishes the striping effect, yet was delivered to the customer this way. Also, the taller the grass typically means better more pronounced stripes, so if you're mowing at 4" you should have great stripes!

Very nice Prestigious1!

I own a 2017 Simplicity Prestige 27/52 EFI, JB Jr, Johnny Plow Jr.
From 2015 to 2017 I owned a used 2013 Simplicity Conquest 27/50.
From 1996 until 2015 I owned a White LT-16 Vanguard V-twin and 2 stage blower.
In 1991 I purchased a used 1984 Gilson 16 HP opposed twin. It was a horse!

There are several factors that effect stripes besides the roller.

1. Height of cut. It needs to be high enough for it to lay flat.

2. Type of grass. Tall Fescue is best in my. opinion.

3. Lawn thickness. Obviously the thicker the better, and weeds don't stripe.
