Discharge chute

Has anyone figured out how to install a discharge chute OCDC?
I've been using a cord and currently a plastic chain to manually lift the chute near trees and borders.
It works, but (feel free to fill in whatever excuse works for you here) its a pain to lean over to grab the chain.
And then there's the physical stress involved in holding the chute up until past the obstacles, etc, etc.
It just seems that a OCDC for a tractor deck would make a great add-on.

Re: Discharge chute

Maybe Iím missing something, but couldnít you just cut around the obstacles with the non-discharge side of the deck?

There are several reasons but the the one that stands out best is I need to raise the discharge chute as I pull the tractor into the shed. The deck, with the chute down, is about 6" too wide to pull in. By pulling up the chute I can clear thd opening by 3".

Assuming that you have a Simplicity, take a look at the Trac Vac website. They show a model that they make on a Simplicity deck.

I've been researching OCDCs for a ZTR and the Trac Vac is the cheapest. There is a seller on Ebay with them for under $200
