While surfing our local buy and sell I found someone selling a 10525. Not a lot of info on it but in the few pictures that were posted it looked great. It was about 1-1/2 hours to go and see it and once I saw it, I was sold on it. It belonged to an elderly gentleman who bought it and used it several times to cut his lawn the first season. He didn’t want to leave it outdoors (didn’t have covered storage space) do he kept it in his basement. It became to heavy to move out of the basement so I believe it lived down there for 15+ years. It made its way out to see daylight this month and was put up for sale.

This mower looks like new. There is no paint loss on the upper deck and no corrosion underneath. Tires and wheels are like new as are all of the cables and hardware and engine components. This has the smoothest shifting 3 speed transmission I have ever experienced. It’s so nice that I don’t want to use it ?.

The main reason that I went to see it was to buy it only for the handle bar and control panel. I have a “garage queen” 22261 that underwent a long and expensive restoration over 5 years ago and it has never cut grass. The only thing that I didn’t like about it was the control panel was not in mint condition. Now that I have this beauty I’m thinking about swapping most of the parts from this machine onto my 22261 and use this one as my “daily driver”.

I’ll try to post some pics when it stops raining. Just had to share this good luck story with all of you LB brethren! ??

I’m away to our cottage and I can’t remember how to upload pics to this site:(.
I’ll figure something out. Used it today and it ran like a brand new machine.
