Lawn-Boy 7022

Kicking it old school today with the brick top and my backup weed whacker. I had been using the F series 10420 for the dirty work during dethatching and somehow let debris bypass the air filter so now Iíll give it a break and use the bricks until I can clean the F engine out. My good Stihl Weed whacker is down to for a dirty carb, at least thatís my suspicion. Not a bad day though. I got in a few minutes of pool on my restored Brunswick, along with getting to mow with another restored classic American made product, the 7022, probably an antique as well.
On a side note; it looks like Iím going to need a remote air filter kit for the 10420. The scalping and dethatching of Bermuda is just more than the standard F series filter can handle. If anyone knows where I can find one Iíd appreciate the link, or contact info. Thanks.

Re: Lawn-Boy 7022

Thanks guy! That's a no-go on the mower used to manicure the table felt, but I do have antique Kirby vacuum that does a great job on that felt.

Thanks RFWi for the tip on the remote air filter. I'll for sure check it out for the F series that gets the real dirty work of dethatching in the spring. I just hate the fact that I'll probably need to split the F series crankcase just clean that mess out, especially since that engine is a very low hour engine. I have two other F series mowers handy, so I think one of those will get called up to the majors while the 10420 goes into rehab.
