Walkbehind For Sale & Wanted

OK, folks, here we go. Our very own thread for wheelin 'n' dealin of Walkbehinds and parts.

1. Let's keep the items along the lines of what you might post in this particular forum. If you have a John Deere rear engine rider that you want an engine for, put that in the main For Sale and Wanted section. But if you have a need for a carb for your Lawnboy snowblower, I think your best bet will be this thread.

2. When you find or sell the item you posted, help me out by posting in this thread "I sold my Iron Horse listed in post #3", or send me a PM. That way, I can delete the post and keep this thread pretty current.

3. Initial contact about buying or selling can take place on the thread, but how about the details and offers/counter offers and shipping arrangements take place via PM or e-mail. Please leave your address, phone number(s), and email off the general forum for your own safety. You may exchange those via PM with the prospective buyer/seller.

4. We will leave the posts in the thread for 90 days and then they will be removed. If you want to post it again after that time, feel free. Once again, if the items sells, let us know.

So, there we go. Pretty simple and straight forward. Good Luck, and happy shopping!

Re: Walkbehind For Sale & Wanted

I'm looking for a 2-ring piston for a D-series engine, part number 606607. This is to upgrade the engine on my 1967 model Lawn Boy to use 32:1 premix. Used is fine if it's in good condition. I do not need the wrist pin or clips.

I'm holding off on purchasing a NOS variant if I can help it. PM me if you've got one. Thanks!

Re: Walkbehind For Sale & Wanted

I have the shroud, engine, drive system, carb and cables off a 1995 10301 if anyone is interested. I bought it as a restoration project but as I was stripping the deck with a wire wheel I blew a few holes in it. I figured I'd post them here before I put them on eBay.

Old Magnesium deck Craftsman pusher. Columbus, OHio

old craftsman push mower with magnesium deck, very very light. I was told it's a 1968, I have no clue, the serial number is 131.91464. It came with a Tecumseh engine. The engine on it now is a Briggs from the eighties. It came from a Wal mart pusher with rusted out deck. it hasn't run in almost 20 years. it will turn by hand. $5 Columbus Ohio. Last time I gave something away the new owner went straight to recycle center with it, I could do that & get $1.00

Re: Walkbehind For Sale & Wanted

Most likely built by Rally, per the information here:

Craftsman OEM List | VintageMachinery.org

If this was closer to me I'd grab it just because. Good luck with sale!

Re: Walkbehind For Sale & Wanted

Have two old aluminum deck push mowers for sale cheap,

First is an old Jacobsen, engine is a new-ish Briggs quantum replacement and steel ball bearings are new. Got this off a customer and have no real interest in it, was hoping someone on here would. Engine was running a couple years ago (before I started doing his grass lol) but I haven't tried starting it. As far as I know, it needs a carb cleaning and a blade adapter.

Second is a 1971 JC Penney branded Toro Whirlwind. It has a 4.5? hp Tecumseh. My grandfather bought this mower new in 1971 and used it regularly until around 2007-ish when my dad took it to replace the lower crank seal. My dad left it outside for years until giving it to my brother and I, it has been mostly covered since then, but is back outside now as I need the space for my new 10651... It is complete, not sure if we still have the blade but adapter is still here, also have the original owners manual from '71 which is kinda cool. I know the JC Penney mowers are super rare, I would really like this one to go to someone who will restore it back to its former glory. Again, not looking to get rich here but I will not give it to someone who is gonna throw it in their truck and head straight for the scrap yard...

I never seem to have any success posting pictures here, so for pictures just text me 412-500-3927. I'm located near Pittsburgh PA, ten minutes off the turnpike. Thanks.

Brand new M series tool kit for sale

I got a brand new, never used, LB 684232 M Series tool kit in a nice turf green box from the estate of a former LB dealer. I thought perhaps the seal puller, seal driver and ring compressor might work on my D and F series LBs, but they will not. So, this outfit isn't much good to me. Send me a PM if interested.

WTB Good Clean Replacement Deck for 6255

Hello, my 6255 that I restored and have been using for about the past 6 or 7 years has suffered the dreaded chute opening crack and I would like to replace the deck if I can find a satisfactory aluminum deck. Im not sure all the qualifying models that may work but I am pretty sure anything with a D series engine from the mid to late 70s would work with the one handle rear wheel adjuster setup. The 6255 doesnt use the adjuster but it has modification brackets that are engineered to mount individual adjusters on each wheel with that deck. Images of the one I used when I restored it 7 years ago.

Please PM me if you can help me out. Thanks!

Peace,Love, and understanding to all.... but dont step on my God given or citizen rights or my country or Ill be tuning up my 22261 on your head!
