Rear Lift Kit for a 5518...

Hi everyone,

I am in the market for a rear hydraulic lift kit for my 5518. They are apparently harder to find then hens teeth. I know Formula H gets them from time to but they want nearly as much as I paid for the entire tractor so I've been scouring Craigslist and eBay until one comes up .

My question is this...it looks like its the same lift for the RT5000, 5013 as for the 5518. Is that correct?

I saw some photos of one installed on an RT5000 but it definitely looks like the hydraulic set-up and fluid tank was different than on my 5518.

Does anyone here have any photos of one installed on their 5518 or have any experience with installing one afterwards that they can share?

Also please let me know if you know of anyone looking to sell one of these set-ups as I would be interested in purchasing it.

I am working on a video series to be posted on YouTube of the maintenance and upgrades I am doing to mine so stay tuned!

These are only going to be getting rarer so I want to help others out on maintaining and working on their machines.

Thanks in advance for the help and any leads!

Manny

Re: Rear Lift Kit for a 5518...

Hey there Manny. Bumping your thread to the top.

I'd really like to have a rear lift kit for mine too. Would love to have a rear tiller. Probably would look at it way more than use it but I want one to till the (very small) garden once a year. Lol

I'm not sure if all rear lift kits are the same or not. Someone wiser than me will maybe chime in for clarification on this.

Maybe I'm just really into these little (kinda) old Honda tractors. I've seen a few come-up on Craigslist that could be easily parted-out for rear lift kits, accessories and the tractor itself. I've just never had the cash to buy them to basically get the rear lift kit for free. They don't come-up often just once in a while and normally they are not next door to me.

If Honda makes it I'd buy it. I remember my snowmobile buddies saying that if Honda made a sled it'd be awesome. I can't begin to count how many Honda products I've owned or own.

$4.5M...seat as many people as Honda's Odyssey mini-van, but a bit faster 0-60

IIRC that's the most efficient jet made to date.

They delivered 42 last year, and are on track to build 4 a month this year.

I've seen them up close...details are absolutely incredible. Hope I get a ride before I retire from Honda!

Interesting to see the engines mounted on pods above the wings.

Probably less interference with lift and for sure less noise transmission to the passenger compartment.

Not that I don't appreciate the references to Honda Jet planes here but I am still looking for a rear hydraulic lift kit for my tractor if anyone knows of one for sale please let me know.

I got one for sale. It comes with a 5518A4, rear tiller, plow blade, snow blower, and 52" mower deck.

Re: Rear Lift Kit for a 5518...

The search is OVER! Well partially anyway.

I managed to find the hydraulic lift and control levers but I had to buy the entire RT5000 for it. I will more than likely post the rest of the tractor for SALE here after I have removed the parts I need.

Now I am in need of the 3 point hitch components. I did manage to find the kit below but I am not sure if the lower lift arms or the Vertical Adjustable Leveling Lift Arms are the correct length.

Can anyone with an OEM set lend a hand with some measurements of these items or offer an opinion as to whether or not this kit will work?

As always thank you in advance for any help you can give!
