Re: Wife Wanted Me Out of the House, So Off to the Garage and Clean it Out

Well I have not been much as life took me to do other things and finally I got back to doing what I like. Today I went to a used tool place and the guy and I have been trading stuff for several months. He showed me several steel shelving units he had and I made a offer of $10.00 for one of the units, I did not expect he would accept the offer but to my surprise he accepted the offer. I grabbed it and put it in the back of my pickup truck. Later on we are gossiping as older guys will do and he a set of Craftsman USA tools in a blow molded case that he wanted $100.00 for and I countered with a Stanley made (China made) set in a blow molded case (I hated that set as it was not larger) and we come to terms that we trade and he take $60.00.

I enjoyed the give and take and had a great time with the owner of the used tool place. He just a great guy and we get along anyway.

I get the shelving unit home and man that thing looked like it spent its life in a machine shop as it was just covered in cutting oil and grease. I take it over to where I have my pressure washer and give it a good scrub down and then had to soap it down and rinse it three times just to get all the gunk off it, but for ten dollars I was not complaining and the wife looked at it and then asked me if he had any more of the shelving. I don't need anymore but it got me thinking maybe I should go back and get the six foot one also. Oh well I run over there tomorrow and see if it still there. I did get it all cleaned up and put in all my chemicals that I had and now they are in place that I can quickly find and get what I want at a glance.
