That is exactly what I do. The X748 has the 47 snow blower with the skids down to prevent picking up too much gravel and the X585 cleans up the paved part with the blade. It always surprises me how much snow I scrape up with the blade.

Thanks, I thought I had checked everything, but hadn't thought of the diff lock. Turns out on my tractor it is a different type of spring, and currently present and ready for duty!

I really do appreciate all the suggestions. Obviously, left to my own devices, I have not found the location of the missing spring

Did someone throw a spare spring into your yard? Just to drive you nuts?

Well it sounds like my idea should work good then. I only have one machine so I will have to unhook my snowblower to put the blade on.

Well, I do have a few friends who might amuse themselves while watching me chase a "snipe"

I suggested the rescue helicopters that race over from traffic accidents to trauma center might have dropped it?

Moved a trailer but I should have put some weights on the front. Had no problem pulling it.

Man, I just had this picture of you pulling that trailer, the old diesel rolling coal, rear wheels spinning throwing the dirty everywhere and the front bouncing off the the ground as you go for the winning distance! I've got to stop watching the tractor pulls on TV!

Re: What did you do to or on your John Deere today?...2.0

Bought a new TSC Kevlar PTO belt for the 332.

Now to get motivated enough to go out in 85* heat and swap the front axle, pull the deck, sharpen the blades, put the rocker shaft and piston on it, then put the deck back under it.

After working out in the heat all week it's tough to go out and get things done on the weekends.

Is this an upgrade or a repair? If an upgrade, what do you gain?

Re: What did you do to or on your John Deere today?...2.0

Loaded up the 212 and chainsaws to get logs out of the woods for a coworker who recently had surgery. Had a group of people and it was a great time. I got to use the plow to clear a path to the fallen trees and then use a trailer to move rounds to the splitter pile.
