Looks like my 140, LOL....... I haven't had time in the last 2 years to get to it. :tango_face_crying:
Don't feel bad I have been taking much longer on some of my projects involving tractors. :tango_face_crying:

It seems as though we have accumulated another one luckily I didn't have to pay the bill on this one as its not mine its my grandfathers. But heres some pics of it running my tiler. Its a pre 1988 tractor so no powder coat and it has been repowered with a 18hp Honda twin. Its better than our 88' Onan powered machine by a long shot it has way more power and doesn't stink near as bad and is a ton better on fuel. It also starts way easier. Compared to the 332 it make maybe a tiny bit more power but its way louder and burns way more fuel and doesn't feel as refined. So the 332's are still my favorite. This tractor did come with a bagger and a 50" deck so it will be replacing our 87' 160 for mowing duties next spring.

Looks great! Can you post some pics of the repowered engine?

Last week, a neighbor came over and said that his 318 had been loping, when the last used it (several months ago) and asked if I could look at it.
I told him, if he could get it started and down to my place (about 1 block) I'd see what I could do.
Rather simple, taking off the top of the carb revealed all sorts of grunge, dirt and rust in the bowl. Sucked what fuel and crud out that I could, then blew the rest out and "back blew" out the jets and air bleeds.
Put it back together and it ran great.
Result, one very grateful neighbor. Another local guy, was going to work on it but never got around to it. He told him that it would be a long, major, expensive job.
Happy ending!

well between the divorce 2 years ago, all the crap that goes with that, the kids, a new job, meeting my new love and getting married again, fixing my vehicles, cleaning the house out from the flooding. Im tired and don't have the time. :tango_face_crying:

Well I'd taken the Carlisle superlugs off the rims when the one got a gaping hole in the side. Wire brushed the rims and painted them, took them to the Dealer today along with the Carlisle All Trails to have mounted and Rimguard added. Mechanic wasn't there so had to leave them to get the work done.

Took a deck off my 67 112 that I just picked up at an auction. It didn’t have a hydraulic lift pump, so I took off the deck and mounted it up to my 64 and was able to cut my entire yard.

Some serious hay hauling, and more serious toddler and parent hauling.
FWIW, these pictures present properly on FB, Google+, Instagram, and Twitter. For all I know, only MTF insists on upside-downing them

Took Little’s winter duds off and put him back into summer mode, since it’s gotten way nice this week and I figure his mower will work better at bagging the leaves than his snow blower.

my one LT 155 won't start now.. I've got a new IGN switch on order from JD as it won't let the key turn all the way for the start mode.. this is the second 155 that the IGN switch has failed..

durin all my testin I found out I have no spark at the plug.. this has me worried a lil.. this mower has 4 relays in the electrical.. I have the upper shroud off now to give me access to the spark coil.. when I remove the 'short out' wire from the coil I do get a spark..

I've tested all of the safety switches & they seam to b OK.. I suspect a relay has failed.. which one is the problem.. ua gotta remove the battery to get access to them.. they r under the battery which will mean I have to remove the battery 4 times..

I spy with my little eye a 54c grader blade in the background with what looks like hydro turn as well.
Good eye! I love that blade. Use it a lot actually

Remove the battery once and use a pair of jumper cables to hook up the battery to the battery cables for testing. If you are careful not to short the cables on the tractor you can test all the relays without installing the battery each time.

On this fine "Fogtober" morning I decided to pull the deck, blower, etc, and give the 188 a good scrub down.

Even for a 21 year old machine it still cleans up really nice.

I have a Karcher pressure washer I bought second hand 15 or so years ago that has been great to me. It is my general use pressure washer and I keep it tucked behind the house next to the hose reel for easy access. After 20 or so years the hose had decided it was done!! The fitting on the end just blew off after I had been running it about 30 minutes. Thankfully I have 2 other pressure washers that don't get used very often except for really heavy duty work. One is a 6.5hp Water Driver that will peel paint if you let it..... and the other is an 11hp model that will shred wood if you are not careful. Was able to finish the job though.

I will order a new hose for the Karcher and also discovered that my blower housing is starting to wear through on the bottom. I will add a housing to my need to get list and hopefully replace it this winter.

In about 20 minutes I am heading out for a '96 LX178 with bagger for $200. Will report back on that this evening sometime.

Enjoy the pictures!!

Tried to start it. Got a bit befuddled.

Turned the key and got a couple of unexpected and hard to describe thunks. Then the starter motor spun, but not the engine. Tried a couple of more times, same thing. It's been sitting for a week or more, so I thought it might be was weak battery though not the typical symptoms. Jumped it off the other machine, same thing. Let it charge a bit then tried it again. This time the engine spun and fired ... ran a few seconds and stalled. Tried to restart and got the starter only spin again. Let it charge a bit more, turned the key and it fired right up and stayed running, smooth and strong. Pulled the jumper cables, shut the other machine off and went for a ride with no issues.

Parked it back in the shed with a maintainer connected. Will try it again tomorrow.

If it was a car, I'd suspect the starter bendix clutch, but I don't know if these have one.

Did some yard clean up because [emoji260]

Also got the LEDs all wired up. Basically just need to wrap a few more parts put on the thrower and ready to roll for the season. The lights are quite bright so I think I’m going to be happy. Want to get a amber warning light for the top to tie into what I have now.
