317 rear PTO shaft question

Will the rear pto shaft from a closed frame 300 work on my 317? If so is there anything to look are on these shafts that wouldn't be easily repairable?
Thanks!

Re: 317 rear PTO shaft question

I'm not sure What a closed Frame Is. But in my Experiance The Rear pto shaft/double pulley, Is interchangeable on all the early. 300/317 series also the Later 30,000- series 140s , That is my findings, also all the Front/mule drive is interchangeable Only the drag arms are a bit different, But will work.

Re: 317 rear PTO shaft question

What I understand all 300's were closed frame till the 318/322/332. From what little I have found out the 140 pto should work also on our 317's. make sure you get the Fan and coupler with it.
