No power to the head lights on my John Deere 345

Headlight circuit not working
I have pulled the wire off the switch and tested both wires on the switch with my volt meter no power (with the key on) .
I have been having a flickering battery light also. I was told the voltage regulator was going. It seems to happen more in the warmer weather.
Also is there a fuse in the light circuit or a fuseable link and if so where is it located.
Thank you
Paul Statham

There is both a fusible link and a fuse in the 345s circuit. The dealer replaced the fusible link in mine when I had similar problems. Not sure all 345s had them and mine is a 1997. Roger

Thanks. Do you know where the fuseable link is and what colour it is.
I will replace the voltage regulator also.

I'm sure this is too obvious, but sometimes it's worth looking at the simple stuff...

Is there a chance the plug that you disconnect near the front of the hood (for when you remove the hood) is disconnected or loose?

Rob
Thanks for the in put but checked it . I have added tail lights and those are out also. I have checked all with the voltage meter.
It is either the link or the regulator or regulator connection. I am removing it to day and will clean up the terminals then relocating to the side of the battery box.
Great to hear from you.
