November 4th, and it might be interesting to see who got any snow so far, and if you did how much? Any predicted this coming week? Have at it.:tango_face_smile:

looks like rain and wet snow for the first week of deer season like last year. :tango_face_crying:

We had maybe 1/2" a week ago, and looking at an inch or 2 overnight/tomorrow, here in Edmonton.

Calgary got a bunch awhile ago, but that's normal because, deep down, they are basically terrible people. :) Go Oilers.

On Thanksgiving, overnight, got only a "dusting" of wet snow NW of Detroit, mostly rainy. Was couple hours NE of Detroit over weekend, rainy but one town got hit with hail and snow. Covered cars but didn't stick. Lower 40s rest of this week, some rain or snow showers is all. Nothing to get the plow out for. Besides, my leaves haven't all come down and the grass is still growing.

They are predicting anywhere from nothing to 5" here Thursday night into Friday. Looks like I should get the plow blade on the x585 some afternoon this week.

Yeah, looking forward to seeing what Friday morning looks like out here in eastern Hampden county, MA, too.

TWC app currently says we'll get an inch Thursday night into Friday morning. Last night, they said 1-3. The TV guys aren't committing to anything specific, but don't expect a blockbuster.

South central Mass, BTW.

I used my SS-12 to plow a ton of leaves today, rather than rake them--they had piled up against the house garage and along the driveway about a foot deep--the plow works very well to shove them off into the woods ,leaves nearly bare grass after one pass--I just lift up on the plow a little to avoid it digging in..

I only had to use the rake to pull the leaves away from the house and the garage where the tractor couldn't go..it looks like more rain tomorrow,so I'll have to wait till Wednesday at least to mulch up the rest of the leaves on the lawn along the driveway where all the trees are..the 60+ mph winds pretty much stripped all the leaves off all the trees last Thursday night ..

Here in the Quad Cities (Davenport, Iowa) we got about 3.5 on Halloween and had a couple of light snows that stuck to the grass but melted quickly. I guess I'm as ready for it as I can be however my wife is recovering from a detached tendon on her gluteous medious muscle and had surgery 8/12 to repair it so she is getting around with a cane right now and can not help with the snow. I haven't figured out how to attach a snow shovel to her cane yet. Bill

Ha I picked up frozen Oak leaves yesterday, but can just see grass sticking through the snow now. Have had the ground covered several times, but melted. I think last Friday about 15 mi North of me they had 7”. Still lots of Oak leaves on the trees and even saw some Maple leaves coming down on the way home from breakfast at Big Boy. Guess I might as well plan to put the leaf pick up stuff away and get the blower and cab on.

Slow steady snow all day, so no more grass showing. Supposed to snow three out of the next four days then turn cold. :tango_face_sad:

They're still saying all rain for my area.

The wind storm on Halloween night wiped out a lot of leaves, so I need to take care of that this weekend. Hasn't stopped raining long enough for anything to dry, though. I may just mulch them in place for now and pick them up when the rest fall in a few more weeks. That will also give my knee more time to heal, without having to lift and dump the Trac Vac bucket (Rubbermaid trash can style) a hundred times...

Man, I’d have a heat stroke. :tango_face_grin:

It’s 28 now and I about sweat to death clearing the white stuff off the driveway and sidewalk. Pool heater? :sidelaugh Tomorrow we’re supposed to get 4” more.

Next Tuesday they’re calling for a low of 9*F. Enjoy your 50’s, 70’s, and 80’s.

Yesterday, Wednesday, climbed onto the 2nd story roof to clear the frozen leaves and mud out of the gutters. Finished just as the snow pellets were starting to stick on the roof. Snow, roof, and me just don't mix. Got the worst of the Maple leave off the back yard but had to leave all else go for the day.

Today, Thursday, awoke to about 3/4" inch of snow, and about 28 degrees. Almost noon now, 35 degrees, and most of the snow is gone but left everything soaking wet.

Since Friday and Saturday are not options for me, looking like next Tuesday or Wednesday for the "final push" on the yard and leaves...except for that Oak out by the road, it holds on and on and on.

We are to be visited by "a highly anomalous and complex" weather pattern early next week, which is the forecasters way of saying "We don't know what's going on, but we're buying canned goods."

Those last two posts are spot-on (except in New England, no one cares about canned goods, we run out of milk, bread and potato chips first, at least in a hurricane prep scenario).

Still calling for rain tonight, then temps will plummet to the low 20s. Not sure that I want to be on the roads with these idiots in the morning...
