L130 Headlight issue

Working on an old L130. Cleaned the contacts on the headlights, and they now work. The only thing is that they work when the ignition is switched to "lights", but they go off as soon as the motor starts! Any thoughts?

Re: L130 Headlight issue

Turn the key back to "lights". Motor will stay running and lights will stay on.

Re: L130 Headlight issue

Yep, my first night time venture with my X500 had similar experience. I was used to a headlight switch as on my old Craftsman. Got it after mistakenly turning the key in wrong direction....Lights....camera....action... Ah ha!!
