GT235 rubber seat springs

These wear out rather quickly. They dry out then crumble. I am curious if one were to keep a silicone grease coating on them would they last longer?

Re: GT235 rubber seat springs

They're cheap enough, just buy a couple of sets and leave one in their packaging, until the ones on the tractor fall apart. I've been through about 5 or 6 sets since I bought my GT235 in 2002. It would have been better, however, if Deere had made steel springs to go there instead.

Re: GT235 rubber seat springs

I am converting my GT and GX to L100 series coil springs. I have parted out several L100s and so I have the springs on hand. I will post a pic in the next day or so.
