Brinly 3point plow. PP-1200

I was final able to find one locally and got a great deal on it. Plus sides it’s painted Deere green and came with a 14” plow instead of the 12”. Once my garden dries out again I will take action shots.

Re: Brinly 3point plow. PP-1200

Great find, I don't know much about the plow but why is the side bar longer on 1 side then the other, the side bars that connect to the cross bar.

Because the plow is supposed to be mounted canted about 17 degrees to the left. That way, when the right tractor wheel is in the previous plowed furrow, the plow will be riding straight up. The easiest way to do this for BH was to mount the pins at different levels.

That should also give a little more ground clearance when out of the ground also. I tilted the mounting bracket on mine but like the looks of that design better.

Re: Brinly 3point plow. PP-1200

ryanpf and Ariens93GT20, Thanks for the information, I just got a plow and made myself a sleeve hitch, I have no experience on the plow so that will help, my hitch is almost done just need to weld it and to set it up for the plow.

Very nice! I like how you have a three point hitch set up on the RF. Hydraulic too boot! I am working on getting my plow hooked up to my RF in the next couple of weeks. Looking forward to seeing yours in action.

That's impressive compared to my BH 10" plow. Should work great for you.

Re: Brinly 3point plow. PP-1200

Nice plow. I'd recommend adding a brace from the top bolt above the share to the hole beneath where the top link goes. I converted a 10" Simplicity plow, which has the same doubled curved bar yours has, to a 3 point hitch that looks somewhat similar to yours. If you snag the plow tip on a root or large buried rock, the curved bar may bend. Don't ask how I know (see picture)
Luckily, I found a second plow, and then added a brace. No more issues. Now I have an extra share, looking to make a double bottom for the X748 some day.

Can someone tell me what size are the lift arm pins for a cat 1, I thought they were 7/8 but a buddy of mine says 3/4.

Thanks, But after searching on google it seems to be 7/8, I'm talking about pins for a cat 1, but would the pins for a limited cat 1 garden tractor be the same as the cat 1 sub compact tractor be?

Cat 1 pins are 7/8" diameter, and 3" long, more or less. The "limited" doesn't matter, that has to do with weight limits and lift height. It will be interesting to see how well the 110 can pull that large share with it buried, looking forward to some action shots. I wish I still had my RF110, it was my first JD and I didn't know much about them then. Did yours come with hydraulics?

Looks like cat1 is a 3/4 top link and 7/8 lower links. I never knew they were different sized. That’s info straight from HeavyHitch’s site.
