Anyone with the old style DR Lawn Vac mounting to a 4X5?

I picked up a 445 recently & as the snow melts Iím wondering how Iím going to connect my DR 8.50 Premier Leaf & Lawn Vacuum? It was easy to mount on my old 335 by bolting the mount above the rear hitch but with the 445 there isnít an place to bolt up. Iím sure due to the popularity of both machines Iím not the only one facing this conundrum? Picture below shows it mounted on the 335.....

I'd give DR power a call or email. since they are still in business, not like EZ rake

Sounds like you may have to weld a piece onto it

Not sure what you have but do you have a 3 pt hitch? That is how I connect mine to a 1023e. I can give more details if needed.

Unfortunately I do not have a 3 pt hitch, itís something I plan on getting eventually but havenít gotten there just yet. I was going to cal DR today but got tied up at work, looks like Iíll need to give them a call hoping that thereís an easy solution.

As a follow up I contacted DR & purchased the new adapter plate. No pics yet but essentially itís a smaller version of the hitch plate that sits flat on the rear plate where the hitch ball mount is in place. The negative is that I have to remove the bottom click brackets for the click & go because the plate sits in that location, they should have cut it a little narrower but oh well. Iíll update with pics once I get it mounted.

Well maybe you can trim it so that the click & go will still work.

Thatís what I wanted to do but not sure that Iíll have enough hose left since it was pretty close on my 335, Iíll have to do some mounting & measurements to determine. How do you fit weights on the rear weight bracket once the hitch for the EZ rake was mounted?

Re: Anyone with the old style DR Lawn Vac mounting to a 4X5?

I have two weight brackets, I found the second one at a great price because it was missing weight rod, I went from a John Deere 420 which does have a factory EZ rake mount to using my X720 which required two feet more hose. the EZ rake bracket I'm using now was made for a gravely. here is a picute, the red hitch is OE gravely, the white frame is OE EZ rake to fit a gravely, & the weight bracket it's bolted to is OE Deere.
