John Deere Museum

Ever think about visiting the John Deere Museum in the Quad City area? How about taking a drive over on March 30, and have a great lunch and meet some fellow MTF members!

Re: John Deere Museum

This could get kind-a confusing. The John Deere Tractor and Engine museum is located in Waterloo Iowa. ( Not the Quad Cities at all) The John Deere Pavilion is located in Moline IL. ( Is the Quad Cities)

Here is a link to the John Deere Pavillion for those that have an interest. I think Brad's intention, so that it does not get lost here, was to generate additional interest in members attending the Meet and Greet being held in Davenport at Antonella's on March 30th to possibly visit the Pavillion as well, not to take away from the Meet and Greet. See the attached link in post #1. Bill

Re: John Deere Museum

I have been to the place in Moline as it is near the quad city airport. They have a gift shop and a few tractors on display. Also, the American Pickers shop is near there.

Re: John Deere Museum

An update from Bill, the organizer follows. Great time of year for a ride and a social event in the midwest. It'll be turning into Springtime and share some ideas and project experiences!

Quote:
Okay, not much of an update but just confirming we are progressing nicely toward our March 30th Meet and Greet date. I will be touching base with the restaurant around the first week of March to make sure everyone is on the same page. Around the 2nd week of March I will be sending out PM's to everyone who has said they are attending to confirm the attendance. At that time I would like to get everyone's first and last names, spouses name, contact phone number(s) and personal email. If you are bringing a guest, please provide their name as well. This way I will have an accurate count to provide the restaurant.
As is the past, you may, and are encouraged to bring any laptops for slide shows, photo albums, etc. Also small items to sell or trade may be brought to the restaurant. If you have larger items you may exchange those either before or after the get together.
I know there are still may of you from the Iowa, Illinois, and surrounding area that could easily make this trip and we would love to see you in attendance. Please send me a PM if you are able to attend.
More updates to follow so please stay tuned. Looking forward to seeing everyone. Bill

Re: John Deere Museum

There is also the John Deere Historic museum where it all started in Grand Detour, IL. That's about 80 mile NE of the Quad Cities.
