All the actual hydraulic lines are good. I am talking about the plain rubber black hosing in some places. For example the "T" fitting right under the battery tray. Looks like plain rubber hose and 3/8" size.

Got some good time last night. Got all of the steering box out. Also got the 4 hydraulic couplers in the front out. They were completely rusted over and completely stuck. They are not reusable and I ordered 4 new ones. Got the hydraulic lines unscrewed from the SCV. I could not get 2 lines out of the tractor and looks it will be a lot easier once I drop the front axle out of the way. Also went to the Deere dealer and got some Blitz black paint and thinner. I got a few parts that I might test my spray gun out in since I have never used one.

Then your talking about the return line that doesn't have all the pressure on them. Just get some regular hydro hose then. Don't use fuel line as it will degrade faster than hydro hoses will.

No hurries, I don't have the parts yet. Just putting it out there in case you don't have any pics you may be able to get some later on when you put it all back together.

I did not go through the whole system but I did go through a little this morning and very lightly reassembled.

1. There is a hydraulic line that runs from the top port on the back of the SCV and runs up the driver side frame rails and connects to the top left portion of the "T" fitting.

2. On the "OUT" port of the steering box, there is a short hard lined "u" shaped connection with a few inches of rubber hose and this feeds into the bottom of the "T" fitting with regular hose clamps.

3. The final piece of the "T" fitting is the small piece of rubber hose that runs from the upper right "T" connection, and connects to the port on the oil cooler facing toward the middle of the tractor.

4. There is connection that is the return line from the cooler on the right (passenger side) that is pointing down. There is a few inches of rubber hose coming off this and it hooks into a hard hydraulic line. This line runs along the passenger side frame and runs over the transmission/pump and connects to the left side (drivers side) port by the relief valves.

5. There is a hydraulic line that runs from the out port of the pump (passenger side) of the pump and basically runs through the middle of the tractor and connects to the "IN" port on the steering box.

6. A hydraulic line connects to the bottom port of the SCV. This line also runs along the driver side and comes up and connects to the "AUX" port on the steering box.

7. The last 2 ports on the steering box are the "Right" and "Left" for the steering hydraulic lines. Looks like the "Right" port will connect to the rear port of the sterring cylinder. The "Left" port line will be connected to the front of the steering cylinder.

I have to be honest, I really should have made more notes on the front hard hydraulic lines, might have to study and take a look on which ports on the SCV they connect to......

I hope this will help a little, and help me for assembly

Man it was hot today! Did not feel like crawling under it and pulling the transmission so I did a lot of cleaning! Started with our small garage. Cleaned it up so I have room to lay parts out and organize.

1. Broke out the power washer and hose and went to town on small parts. Cleaned the TDM, hydraulic oil cooler, degreased the 4 front hydraulic lines, front axle, and cleaned up the gearbox. All of these are completely degreased and ready for tear down, sanding, primer and paint. Spent almost 2 hours cleaning these parts!

2. Rookie painter here so I actually messed around with the small bracket that the TDM mounts to on the gear box. Broke out the air sander and roughed it up and smoothed our. Cleaned it up with alcohol and proceeded to get 3 coats on this morning. Combination of a little wind and baking in the sun all day it was dried out. I wet sanded it down with 240 sand paper. Then laid down 2 light coats of Blitz Black. Looks really good and smooth. More coats tomorrow. Then practice wet sanding and buffing before tuning to the large pieces!

Well, I have been very busy with work and kids!!! Been working a little bit and got the whole tractor tire down. Started with the engine. Degreased and painted. Brand new intake manifold, exhaust gaskets and some new exhaust clamps. Some stainless steel hardware to button everything up. I have all the Tim painted except the large rear piece of tin. I sanded that tonight and got 2 coats of primer on. I am going to sand it tomorrow and start painting. It should be completely buttoned up and engine will be ready to go back in......

I was waiting on a TON of parts, paint, tires. All same tonight so I should have everything I need to start getting everything blasted and start painitning and assemble.

Just wanted to update the build. I had intentions to document every step of the process but I am a busy man! I have a lot of hours in this thing and am having a lot of fun learning and building this tractor. I am replacing a lot of hardware and parts as I go along!

As I have went, I have decided that this is not a show piece and never will be. Just a really nice toy and worker here and there. I have everything painted as far as the frame and hardware goes. I got a lot done in the past couple days. The SCV is in, rock shaft pump and lines installed, front axle is in. All hard lines have been ran. Tomorrow I hope to get the steering pump and new hydraulic hookups on the front installed tomorrow.

After that I will be ready for a lot of the "Green" parts soon!!!!

All of the body panels and rims have been completely cleaned and blasted. John Deere Buff Primer was applied. I am going to start sanding and smoothing and getting ready for paint this weekend!

I have used rattle cans on many things and I am always amazed at the results to be honest. I was scared to death of a spray gun but not as bad as it seems and seems to get really good coverage and smoother than a spray can to be honest!
