Homemade ATV sprayer boom?

Anyone have any plans, pics, parts lists, etc for a homemade boom for an ATV mounted sprayer? I have a Moultrie 25 gallon boomless sprayer and would like to build a boom about 3ft wide with 3 nozzles to get better coverage than the boomless nozzle.

Re: Homemade ATV sprayer boom?

My dad built one for his tractor. It is 1.5hrs away at our camp so I don't have pics, but in a month or two I can get up there and snap some for you.

Been driving Deeres since 1974, Dodges since 1984, and Davidsons since 2004. Love my wife and kids I'm a blessed man.

It's one inch square tube with clamp on sprayer brackets from Tractor Supply. I first had regular spray heads, but I change to drip heads (they spray out on to a lower flat surface). I don't get as much spray on me with this head.

Re: Homemade ATV sprayer boom?

I would think you could look at the parts list for a Brinley or AgFab sprayer or a start. I know my Brinley just has three low drift fan nozzles on a piece of flat steel.

If you look up the nozzles, they give a recommended spacing.

Re: Homemade ATV sprayer boom?

I have the TSC/Countyline 25 gal. sprayer and boom kit. The nozzles are where the technology is. Buy three at TSC for a couple bucks and make a PVC pipe (black iron will rust inside and clog nozzles) and bracket to mount them, ideally allowing rotation. The pattern is set by the pump flowrate and spray head angle.
