Floor Mats

My wife has been wanting a small SUV for a while so yesterday we got her an Equinox. She wants to get some floor mats and a mat for the cargo area but apparently the cheap ones we've bought before are not good enough anymore. The front, rear and cargo set from Chevrolet are over $200. Shes also looked at Husky and Weather Tech online but there not much cheaper. This is not actually a truck but I thought I would inquire about other brands that might be a better value.

Re: Floor Mats

Get the Weather Tech if you want to make a one-time purchase. Just my 2 cents and you got it free.

On the Weather Tech. Have used these in everything from my VW's, the wife's Subaru, Hyundai Sport and our F250. And the back cargo mats in the Outback and Sport are great, dogs love them and hair is easily vacuumed up.

Re: Floor Mats

I would also recommend the Weather Tech mats. Have them in all my vehicles. Have protected the carpets from multiple coffee spills. (Wife refuses to use a travel mug stating the coffee doesn't taste right.)

Re: Floor Mats

WeatherTech or Husky is way to go. We have the Husky in our Chevy pick-up. Came with it when we bought and and am very happy with them. Had the WeatherTechs in the past and they fit & work great also.

Re: Floor Mats

I have had weather tech (2006 ram 1500) and max liner (2017 jeep GC). FIL has husky in his 2018 charger (are ya feelin' the FCA love yet?). The weather tech and husky are the gold standard - 100% fit. Max liner fitment is about 90%, but for half the cost. Weathertech material is also a bit more pliable which is nice when you have to remove them for cleaning. I say go with OEM, WT, or Husky...

People on forums love to spend your money, don't they?

Re: Floor Mats

My wife just ordered the Weather Tech mats for front and back seats plus cargo liner. I never would have believed we would spent over $300 for mats but we did. Thanks all

It's the last set you'll buy for the Equinox, though.

Re: Floor Mats

You can never go wrong using Weather Tech mats! They are the only mats we will use anymore. Saved us making a mess several times over the years.

Re: Floor Mats

I got the front and rear rubber mats for free from Chevrolet when I bought mine as it was included in the weather package. I then used the Mychevrolet points they had for a $100.00 off on the cargo mat so it ended up $30.00 total. When I got home I discovered that they had the summer mats under the parcel shelf in the back of my 2018 Chevrolet Equinox LT diesel.

Re: Floor Mats

The Weathertech mats arrived today and I am certainly impressed with the fit. I don't believe I will have to worry about them wadding up under foot like the cheapos did. We usually keep our vehicles 10 years so I'm thinking the better mats are a good investment. Thanks for talking me through it.

Far better than the cheap Chinese garbage mats. In addition you supported American workers instead of a foreign government that is hostile to the United States.
