Default John Deere 110 Serial Number Location

Where is it? I can see the engine plate and numbers but was there a separate number for the tractor somewhere. I don't see anything below the key.

It is a square fender 110 also. Runs and mows excellent. What's a tractor like this worth?

To me a couple hundred would be a good price. To someone else, hard to say depends on how bad they want one. The round fendered ones are worth a bit more I think.

How common was the hydraulic lift option? Half of the 110's made? Less than half? More than half?

Hydro lift is fairly rare. You can tell by the bucks they bring on ebay.
I've only seen 1 out of maybe 20. probably closer to 50.

Square fender 110's aren't worth much around here. Sold a decent running one for $100 after trying for a fairly long time to get more. Looked about like the OP's with a better hood & seat.

How much is the hydraulic lift unit alone?

If it is a 1968 model, it is probably a "sidetag" model. Lift the hood, and you'll see it on the side of the dash pedestal. You can see it without raising the hood, but one should always look at his engine as often as possible
