I was buying some fresh produce at a local Mennonite farm last week and I saw this Farmall Cub with steel wheels, so I snapped a picture with my phone and thought that I would share.
A little while later I saw a boy, about 10 or 12 years old, driving an old Simplicity garden tractor around mowing the grass. It was the biggest Simplicity I had ever seen, it had to have at least a 60 inch deck. The really neat thing was that the Simplicity had steel wheels also. I know that some Mennonites don't like getting their picture taken, so I didn't get a picture of the Simplicity.
Notice the little skid loader in the background that has steel wheels also.
I didn't want to offend them by asking directly, but I wonder if they have some reason for the steel wheels on their tractors, other than the fact that they last forever if they are cared for properly.
