Default Some pics of our old Ariens

Here's a couple pics I took after mowing today with our Ariens tractor. It's a 934 Series Garden Tractor, we're the original owners. My dad bought it new in 1984. Still runs good, but little parts of been slowly/steadily breaking the last couple years, as you can see, it shows its age. We're thinking about getting a Deere X500 in the next couple weeks to upgrade. While we're on that subject, does anyone have an idea what this Ariens might be worth?

Can someone tell me if I'm reading it right? just under 500 hours? It really seems low, we use it primarily for mowing but still seems pretty low to me...

This is the hill she's been mowing for over 20 years now. Anyone here think a Deere X500 with HDAP tires would have any problems tackling this beast?

I remember those tractors when they first came out. They were the "HT" series, if I remember correctly.

My dad owns a '84 GT-17 that's in near mint condition. I'll probably be inheriting it soon, as they're contemplating going into a retirement/assisted living community. I'll have to dig around in his archives some time I'm over visiting, but I seem to recall having an original sales brochure for your tractor. I picked out one of everything when he was shopping for his new tractor. The GT, YT, HT, and even the walk-behind mowers. Question is now, where did they get stashed?

That's really cool. They are indeed the HT series. It's been a great machine for us all these years. It still runs strong, and I will be sad the day we sell it. If you find that brochure, send me some pics, I think that would be really interesting to see. It's a shame Ariens got out of the tractor business, they made some **** fine tractors back in the 80's. Now they sell rebadged Husqvarna's at Home Depot.
