Help Farmall M(grader)

Guys,
I just got back from the woods this morning from visiting my Farmall. It is kinda sad.It has been abandoned for about 30 years. It has only been protected by a tarp. For the most part it seems complete and solid.Would this be worth my time or should I just leave it there? The man says I can have it for my Toyota Diesel.Would it be worth that? Sorry for the long post.

Like to give you an opinion, but I would need a few photos of the Farmall and an idea what you think your Toyotas worth. Is the tractor stuck or has this subject been covered in another post?

We'd like to see some pics please. Also to ask if you have a shop?

If you can't fix it with a hammer, it must be an electrical problem!

No this is the first post on it. My toyota is another freebie so you can't really lose money on that.Aboutthe tractor the engine of course is stuck, but I'm not so sure how bad.The sheet metal is mostly good. The grader part is good and solid. The tires are well, crappy but that isn't suprising. But they do allow it to roll back and forth. The seal around the shifter is tight also.I will try to get pictures.

A factory built Farmall grader is a fairly rare find. It would be a nice museum piece if you plan on restoring it. I could be wrong but, I would think it would be more valuable to a collector than a straight "M". There's plenty of those around. JMHO. PJ

Paul J is right, a very collectable machine, not really sure of the value of a restored one, but definetly unique. Seized engine is not a huge problem, they are a sleeved engine so you can get cylinder kits and have a new engine as ong as it hasn't had a bunch of water in the block and froze and broke the block.

Well it's not like M blocks are rare anyway. At least it isn't a Hoyt-Clagwell.

There were various companies that made grader attachments. Here's one made for a 8N Ford.

The one on the Ford above was made by Dearborn, they made several attachments for Ford tractors. There is a grader like that one that makes shows in our area.

This one was on a tractor cruise(drive) I was on a few years ago:

If the toyota was a freebie go for it. I would love to get one of those up at my place to fix the driveway.
