Still Plays With Tractors
|
I got an early start this morning and got this project together enough to run and drive it! The only problems I ran into is the radiator has a seeping leak and I had to swap out the carb for a different one. Otherwise the old girl fires right up, just touch the starter and she is running. The engine doesn't smoke a bit and sounds pretty good. The is a lot to be done yet, completely rewire, mount the air cleaner, make my 2 seat setup for it but the big job is done!
You can call me crazy but I think this pile of parts is happy to be a tractor again and thankfull that all the parts didn't get scrapped out. I will run the B this way for the summer and see what else needs attention. I might paint it up this fall after the tractor shows are done for the year. Now to sit with my feet up and watch the Super Bowl! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Thanks for the comments! I was real pleased that this project all came together as well and fast as it did. I just love it when a plan comes together! Still more finishing work to do but I know that all the major work is done and the engine runs real well.
I am going to dedicate this project in memory of my Dad who past away last summer. We both loved these old tractors and went to some old tractor and steam engine shows together over the years. It has been a fun project and I enjoyed sharing my progress with you. Mike A.K.A. tractormike

It's so GREAT to see another B come back to life. That's what I'm talkin' 'Bout! Congrats and I'm sure your father is smiling too.
-keevel The whole financial structure of Wall Street seems to rise or fall on the mere fact that the Federal Reserve Bank raises or lowers the amount of interest. Any business that can't survive a one percent change must be skating on thin ice. Why even the poor farmer took a raise of another ten percent just to get a loan from the bank, and nobody from the government paid any attention. But you let Wall Street have a nightmare and the whole country has to help to get them back into bed again. -Will Rogers, August 12, 1929 |
