Default What is a Bolens G14?

Bigger than a tube frame? I see one just listed on ebay, a non running one that is supposed to have ran good before sitting a couple of years and will now pop but not run.

Looks good but no deck, just a blade. I have no idea what it it worth. On Ebay in Collinsville IL with a starting bid of $200 and a BIN of $350.

What do you think?

Oh, I guess it is a tube frame. I was hoping it was a large frame. I don't know anything about bolens except I managed to lose money on all 3 I've owned.

(Though the yard keeper was pretty neat.)

G14 is a tube frame, it is the geared version of my H14 hydro.

Looks like its in good shape, I'd buy it for the buy it now price.
Very tuff little tractors. And yes they can push some snow, quite alot of snow.

I'm not too worried about snow...we haven't had the ground covered yet.

Sorta wish I had kept the tube frame tiller I bought for $10 at an auction last fall. I keep finding these things in the wrong order.

I mainly use mine for tilling, it does a nice job although I wish I had a geared tractor like that one you posted for tilling. With the hydro when the tiller hits something hard like a rock or breaking new ground it pushes the tractor forward to easily. I think with a geared tractor in low range it would be better for tilling.

$10.00! for a bolens tube frame tiller. Wow. Should have kept it.

I'd like to find the extention for mine and new tines. Or even a whole nother tube frame tiller for a spare.

I like the tractor. With that low of a buy it now price it would be headed to my home if it was nearer.

I got a 99 cent tube frame snowblower a couple of years ago (ebay in July) and have been looking for a 99 cent tube frame tractor ever since. I too bought in the wrong order.

I had a big old sears snow blower and an old bolens snowblower (looked up for a little 7hp early 60's horizontal shaft bolens)

After sitting outside on palets with tarps on them for 2 years, they were starting to look weathered instead of nice, so I advertised them both on Ebay for $4.99 starting price.

No interest, so I took them to someone with more interest when scrap prices were high along with the rest of the trailer load. Never thought to advertise them for .99 since the listing fees were higher. Didn't make much off of them but the yard looks nicer.

I had one out on craigslist a year ago with no engine or deck, I took the opposed 18HP (not original) engine off of it for my 998. It had a front blade. I posted it for $100 and people were climbing all over each other to come get it. Bolens (FMC) has some real followers, It did not look near as nice as the one pictured.

Thats right down the road from me, on my way to your house. kind of. It looks nice I would buy it if I did not have my focus on 2 other tractors, I have done enough shifting, I'll take the hydros.

From the one tube frame I dissected, it looked like the bolens tube frames are very well built, but very complicated, lots of parts in there.

Just didn't know what this one was at first until I looked it up on some other threads. They might have a real following, but they aren't real common around here.

Hamptonz, did you see the MF 1650 in yesterdays St Louis craigslist?

Sort of pricey with the engine apart at $600 I thought, but it did say best offer. 2 other masseys at his house a 12 and a smaller one.

It's too cold to go out & play and the auction I was going to today turned out to have an Allis C not a CA as advertised. (and the owner really didn't want to sell unless it brought plenty..which isn't what I was going for)

So I'm just home going through the auctions & classifieds.

Same guy, same day. May have deleted the other listing or you might have missed it.

The MF 1650 was like my snapper 1600 except a little bigger and 6 lug rear wheels that one had ags. My 1600 has seperate deck & 3 point hydraulics and a rear pto plus the treadle pedal for forward & reverse. They were pretty heavy tractors.

Massey made the big snappers..just changed the decals.
