Default oem-190-833 + yard machines 13an771h729 = doesn't fit?

Hi folks,

Please allow my first post to be about my generic lawn tractor and dozer blade installation issue.

Tractor:

Blade:

I purchased a brand new dozer blade (oem-190-833) which is supposed to fit right onto my Yard Machines (13an771h729) according to the owners manual. I'll be darned if I can get the hitch (fast attach) to go onto the front of my tractor! The slots on the hitch are supposed to fit right over the shoulder bolts on the frame and the spring-loaded retainer is supposed to slide into a (nonexistent) hole to hold the hitch on.

I'm hoping maybe one of you have seen this setup in person and can lend an idea or two? Maybe there is an adapter that I have to get?

Thank you in advance!

Dustin

P.S. - Please forgive my generic store-bought tractor. First time homeowner and I am still learning the ropes.

You should have two brackets that you mounted to the frame. The holes should be on them. See Pics.

Thank you! Exactly the information I was looking for.

Any idea where I would find these brackets? I never got them with the tractor.

There is one on each side of the frame and they are identical. They are part #24932. Do you have the operators/parts manual? If not here it is 190-833 snow blade op/parts manual

Man, the brackets were supposed to come with the blade... the weird part it says OEM-190-833 on the box, but I just noticed it says 190-833C-OEM on the instruction manual and it obviously varies greatly being that my kit didn't come with those frame brackets.

Thank you for all your help - I really appreciate it.

Actually the part numbers are prefixed with an AF. so the Part # is AF-24932. They are $20.57 each thru MTD (www.buymtdonline.com).

Does your op/parts manual show these brackets? They should be in with the everything else, I don't know why they would sell the plow without them. If it shows on the "what should be in the box" page I would think you need to call customer service and have them get you a pair for free. Good luck.

That's the thing - the manual differs from the box. On the box, the part # is oem-190-833 but the owners manual that came out of the box says 190-833c-oem and doesn't show/list anything to do with these brackets and the brackets certainly are not included. This has been my problem all along. Hopefully this helps somebody in the future!

More info for you. The plow is actually made by agri-fab and you can get the brackets cheaper at other places. www.mowerpartsusa.com has 3 in stock and they are only $14.07ea.

Thanks for the tip!

Another bit of info in regards to this blade:

My blade came out of the box almost fully assembled. The only thing that I had to put together was adjuster spring on the blade itself and to put the channel assembly onto the blade. This completely differs from the owners manual that you posted. Bummer!

Angry Re: oem-190-833 + yard machines 13an771h729 = doesn't fit?

Just to follow up on this thread, I was researching the plow in question for my Tractor, (190-833) which my owners manual says is the correct one. I have found more than a few posts on the internet where people who have purchased this plow, have had springs, bolts ect. missing, one had two left brackets, and now no brackets. This manufacturer must have a chimp for quality control. Think I'm going to stay away.

Hi, can anyone confirm if the brackets solved the issue for this particular tractor?

I have a 2007 Mtd Pro 17.5hp 13an771g529 (I'm assuming same family as OP tractor) and 190 833 plow (actually arrived as 190 833E - not sure what the letter designations change).

I also have 190 032 which does bolt on no problem, but this plow doesn't want to. Any help is appreciated.

192-032 is a snow thrower and will have different quick release brackets that bolt to the frame than the 192-033. You definitely need the Quick release Brackets for the 192-033 to install it on your tractor. If you bought the plow second hand people always leave the brackets on their tractor and you are non the wiser.
