I have a chance to pick up a "needs work" Toro 5 hp, 24" cut, 2-stage, electric start, snow thrower for under $50.00.
I'm trying to get a parts manual and/or schematic to find out if the Tecumseh engine on it is a one or two shaft model and to see what parts might be changed and their cost. I have an email in to Toro techs, but I can't get any manuals to come up on any of the Toro sites. If anyone knows the engine configuration of the model 524 or a site that will allow me to download free manuals, please advise. I wish all sites were as open about details and schematics of their products as Snapper is. I even downloaded a how to repair manual from the Snapper site for free. Thanks! Bountyhunter |

Try www.partstree.com there is a link to Toro there. I use this web site all the time in my small engine shop.
