I got my 10515 running today.Apparently the only problem was the governor spring which I replaced.
It's not exactly right. The sping seems to be about 1/4 inch or more too long. It extends through the linkage slot. But, it may be that I don't have it set in the right place. It works. RPM sounds about right WOT and it idles down fine. But, at about the last 1/8 inch from being all the way to idle the governor lets it go back to WOT. Do I need to rotate the adjustment one way or the other, or what? Thanks |

Edward, you mentioned the service manual suggested starting at 1/3 on the governor adjustment. Do you remember whether that is CW or CCW looking down the barrel?

"he spring seems to be about 1/4 inch or more too long. It extends through the linkage slot."
Don't think that is unusual. Walt Conner |

Mystery Solved
The cable was coming in at such an angle that it cocked up the throttle linkage enough that it was contacting the adjustment nut and pulling the butterfly open. Tied the cable at a couple of placed to secure it in correct postion, idles fine now. Thanks for the input. |
