Default Kohler K301 pictures/info.

Newbie here looking for pictures of the front of a K301. I've been rebuilding a Wheel Horse 1057 and I'm very closing to getting it all back together. The only problem is I'm having trouble getting the governor and throttle linkage back together. I'm really kicking myself for not taking pictures before I started, but I thought it would take a lot less time and I'd remember... I think the K301 was standard on the 1257 not the 1057. I downloaded the service manual before I started the project, but the pictures aren't that great. Any pics, or help, is greatly appreciated.

Wish I had something to help you. Wanted to say hi and good luck on the Wheel Horse restoration. Hope it goes well for you, maybe this bump will help.

Thanks guys.

I have the service manual downloaded and printed out, but the pitures aren't that detailed. I'm going to head over to Rays Mower Shop this weekend. i would imagine they'll have something I can look at help figure it out.

Thanks guys

Thanks for the pics. Do you have any that show the metal rod that the throttle cable attaches to? The only parts I have left are the governor spring and a metal rod that has 1 metal flange on each end. Can't remember where the rod mounts on the motor along with the governor spring. In your pics you can see where the spring in connected to one of the flanges, but not how it mounts on the motor and how the throttle cable should be connected.

Thanks again.

I think my terminology may be off. After looking at some other pictures, the throttle linkage is actually at the top of the carb (duh). The linkage/assembly that I'm refering to is below the carb and is about 4 inches long with a plate/flange at either end. One has the screw to tighten the throttle cable to... Sorry for so little detail.

The 4" flat piece you are talking about mounts over to the front of the blower housing. It pivots in the middle and throttle wire hooks to bottom hole and rod hooks to top hole, then goes back to plate that gov spring hooks to.If this does'nt help I can get you a picture tommorrow.
