Default Are Craftsman made in China ?

According to this website that sells Chinese tractors they are. There is a picture of my DLT3000 on there listed as a Chinese lawn mower. I can see parts are gonna be hard to get in the future. It does say they can get 12 units in a 20' container though. ROF

The Chinese are copying everything now. I doubt that it is a "real" craftsman, just a good copy. If you look around the web you can find all sorts of stuff that the Chinese have copied. The stuff is too new to know if the quality is there for a long lasting product.

Our abrasive wheels label designs are being copied and put on crappy made in China wheels. It is a big problem for us as it confuses our distributors into thinking it is our product. Big issue.

Last I heard, AYP still has a plant in South Carolina. It wouldn't surprise me if the commies copied it. China has a booming tool and die business going now. If AYP sourced dies from there, you can bet they've made "back-up" copies. Those guys basically operate without regulation or enforcement of patents. They can pretty much get away with anything.

Yep - Microsoft has been throwing a fit for some time now, about how the Chinese stole copies of Windows, and other software, and are basically reselling it at reduced prices anywhere they can. Microsoft has claimed that it appears to be, more or less, officially sanctioned by the Chinese government. Yet they remain on our government's "Favorite Trading Partner", list. A one way street to be sure ..
