Default My friend gave me snow blower for the SS10! :)

I got home to a present in yard. The snow blower attachment for the 1967 Sears Suburban 10 I have!! I will get pictures after work tomorrow. Anybody know off hand the belt size? No biggie, I'll look it up. Might pick one up on way home tomorrow!

Here are the pictures I took. I think I found the belt size, 5/8x57" . Will pick up one if I don't have one.

Nice surprise to find in your yard!

Just got a replacement belt today for mine that goes on my SS12 Eric!
5L560 is the one I got, the belt I pulled off was weather checked badly and had a chunk missing. But it was a shade shorter than the 57, so I opted for the 56. But I ought the 57 also just in case the 56 is to short!

LOL !
Eric I just came from that thread! You know it, I LIKE those ST's

Mike

Oh, the tensioner pulley on my snow thrower is SIEZED up solid! To make it reliable I feel I must change it. Even if PB blaster or Kroil will loosen it up, it'll only fail when I need it most this winter! that's just how my luck goes.

I think maybe I can find a part number in the manual I have for it, but availability is another thing!

Madmike

I've got replacement pulleys at tractor supply co. Take the old one in and match the size.

If you can free the bearing you could keep it lubed and store as a spare

those are cool, but don't expect too much out of it- I had one on an SS18 and it still could barely move snow. You have to go in high 2nd full throttle to keep it fed, and have enough power to throw snow.

It does work, but more in fluffy stuff. Here in New England its usually wet heavy stuff which is crap for those blowers

Hi GT 80, that kinda sucks! Was looking forward to using it. I have a Craftsman 19.5 HP newer (1996) tractor with the single speed blower. Works good. Wonder if I should use dirt plow instead??
