Default need quick review of fuel pump change on 345 with FD590

As I'm reviewing my new acquisition, I read about the fuel pump issue.
I hadn't found a great deal of information on the steps/correct method of changing it out (top barb-fuel, Lower outlet to carb, and bottom barb is vent).
My question is that the JD "kit" comes with no gaskets/insulator as shown in their online lookup. Do I need to order these or can I reuse. Do I need to use Permatex or any other sealer on them etc.? Thanks to someone that has done this!

When I updated the fuel pump on my older 345 I just ordered the gaskets with it,they werent much and you will need a small hose for the vent barb on the new style pump to route it to a safe location.Stay away from gasket sealer if possible, you shouldnt need it.It was an easy job to replace it and well worth the safety factor. My orig pump was not leaking but when reports of fires started circulating I changed it out.

I just replaced mine and also ordered a new insulator, gasket, pushrod.... They are very cheap. My pump came with the hose and clamp.

I also didn't use any type of sealer.

Don't forget to check and see if it had the plastic cam gear! Get that swapped before it fails!

nwohio345, my camera was being a pain in the butt so only one picture wound up coming through.

Fuel in at the top.

Fuel out at the side.

The weep hole at the bottom I routed strait out the large hole below the fuel pump.

For installation:

-Clean engine to fuel pump mating surface
-Put a light film of oil on the push rod, and slide it into the hole in the engine block.
-Install first fuel pump gasket.
-Install insulator
-Install second fuel pump gasket
-Now mount he pump and begin tightening the bolts.
-Move slowly, alternating bolts a little at a time until both are snug against the engine.
-Use a torque wrench and tighten the fuel pump bolts to spec.

Sadly my hard drive was a complete loss this week, including my digital manuals so I don't have the exact torque spec for the FD590v handy. I'm sure someone here can help you out with that.
