Default 7100 snow blower

I picked up a snow blower for a 7100 series large frame Simplicity this weekend that is missing the handle for rotating the spout. I looked it up online and it is nla, but it looks easy enough to make. Does anyone have the measurements on the rod, tube, cable and holes for it?

Some owners rig up a car window motor/cable pulley system to "electrify" the spout and a double pole double throw switch for control makes it easy to swing the spout with the flick of a switch. I picked up a small ford rear window motor for $4 on ebay

Now that is an awesome idea I had not considered! Do you have a picture of the mount?

Dynodave, That is a great idea, I would not mind seeing that myself.

Alfa Sam, The handle is 48" long from the bearing. The tube that you see is 6 3/4" long and the bar has a bend in it just inside the tube and is 12" long up to the other bend you can see

I have a couple of pics of the electric window motor spout rotator set up. I snapped them off of craigslist on one that was for sale so i could do it to mine someday - when i get a hitch to hook it up ! As soon as i can figure out how to get them off my phone , il upload them here. Looks pretty easy ! Not the upload part tho !!

I believe Simplicity used a 70s or 80s GM power window motor.

Thanks for the pics and the links! The mount looks simple, but the shaft looks a little more involved.

NLA from Simplicity, but you may find an older dealer with one still in their inventory.

Does anyone have one of these? I have an electric motor but need to know the length and diameter of that control rod the wire wraps around.
