Default 3pt tiller attachment - Home conversion!

I just can't find a Sears Roto-Spader close enough to justify the drive. I picked up an old Hahn - Eclipse tiller several years ago and am looking to convert it to a 3pt attachment.

Here is what I know:
1. The engine is a B&B 4hp.
2. I should have the carb rebuilt today.
3. It has a 2 speed pulley system.
4. It is gear driven.
5. The overall width is only 22".
6. One of the tines is broken off.
7. The rest of the tines are worn.

Here is what I plan and some help I need:
1. Has anyone worked on these tillers?
2. I want to widen the the tiller to at least 30", possibly 36"
3. What oil or gear lube should go in the gear box?
4. I will be changing all the tines from a simple weld on to a bolt on style.

That's a neat project. As far as I know, snowblower gear lube (basically glorified 00 grease) will work, that's what my grandpa uses in all of his machines, and I've followed in his footsteps, otherwise I would use 80w90 gear oil.

Update - What did I do wrong?

I haven't used this tiller in 4-5 years and even then I only used a little as I had a tiller mounted to my Bolens.

I couldn't get the engine started a couple weeks ago so I took the carb and gas tank off. The gas tank had sludge in it. I washed it out with fresh gas and there was actually chunks! After washing it a couple of times I took it to work and sand blasted it. There was even more chunks that I got out. It was rusty and overall a MESS. Next I made several trips to NAPA to get gaskets, seals and other soft goods for the carb. I also bought a new pickup tube filter. The old one was missing the screen. I had to dig the gunk out of the pickup tube.

Today - Here is my problem. I got it all back together. No extra parts (usually the first bad sign). New oil in the crankcase (I drained it out last week). With it all together I put fresh gas in, sprayed a little starter fluid (just in case) in the carb and pulled the starter. It fired right up. It isn't suppose to do that for me. I usually have extra parts, I have to pull like 50 times, I have to use several squirts of starter fluid. What did I do wrong?

Now to the tines.

Can someone provide me with dimensions of the Sears tines? I am looking at how wide are they? How thick are they? How long are they (I need either the distance from the center of the shaft to the outer edge or the distance for the outer edge to the outer edge of opposite tines. What size bolts attach them? What is the size of the plate the tines mount to? I like the idea of bolt on tines. They will be easier to replace when I need to. How far apart are they? Where the tine is bent out on the end how long is the horizontal portion of the tine.
How wide are the Roto Spaders that do NOT have the supports with bearings on the ends?

I know this is a lot of questions but ones I need. Thanks?

my dad owns a old sears tiller so here it is they are about 9 and a half inches long 2 and a half wide and the square plate they mount to is approximatly 4 1/2 inches wide. what i took measurements off of is a 1967 walk behind tiller with the 3 speed gearbox. the tines arent very thick maybe 1/4 of a inch or less i think my dads is a 30 inch wide tiller

Those are very reliable engines, shouldn't take much to get it running. I had a non running one on a jari sickle mower that sat for years. I think all it took was a quick carb clean and it fired up.

I got all the parts from NAPA. My neighbor works there. His father owned an auto parts store 20+ years ago so he grew up with it. He also kept the old books his father had. He was able to cross reference my engine and parts to what B&S has them numbered now. In some cases it took him a bit to get all the right parts but everything fit perfect!
