Default X485 deck install help please

Hey guys,
Bought a used X485 a few months ago. Just moved into my new house last week so this is my first time actually using it.....aside from test drive. I got it with blower installed instead of deck. Took off the blower and went to install deck today. Everything was fine until lower/raise lift arms.....they dont move. I loosened yhat little knob all the way....think its called a lockout. Nothing. The hydraulics worked fine with blower so im stumped. The yhing that confuses me is that i dont even see how the hydraulics hook up to arms?
Someone explain this to me like im 6 please.....haha.
Btw.....was gonna search but im using my phone and its close to dying....sorry.
Thnx guys

Set you Knob at 1 Use Your Hydraulic Lever to Lower the arms You May have to stick your Foot On top the rocket shaft arms to get them to Come Down. Because they will stick when they Have Been Up there for awhile It Happens to me all the Time. I Lay My deck Under connect the PTO shaft some time Before Or even after the arms are Down Because one the arms are Down You have to slide the deck forward a little Then take the front deck hanger Bracket Put In In the front of the Frame Turn it Up Let go of the spring Pin Then Raise the deck all the way Up Before You Mess with your cutting dial. You set the height for the deck with it Being In the Raise Position donít forget to Turn Your Gauge wheels from the transport Position to the Forward Position where ever You feel comfortable. But Make sure when You put Your deck to the cutting height that Your Going to use that the Gauge wheels are Not riding On the ground

Kllrbee,
I have to pull down the arms on my 748 too. They come down pretty easy with a little tug. Since you are not the original owner check to see if the first owner has installed a lockout valve by the hydraulic outlets. If it has one you may have to open the valve.

If you don't have the operators manual it is available on line. Go to Deere.com and look towards bottom for manual search.

Wish there was a way to print those manuals without selecting each section.

Ha....u guys are thorough...

I had to just pull them down with a little force. The rest was a piece of cake.
Being new to all this, i didnt want to force something that shouldnt have been forced....but now i know.

Thnx for the manuals! That will come in handy in the future.

Now....onto bigger problems.

No PTO!

Ill start a new thread for that....see u there
