I am collecting parts to build a "SIDEKICK".
http://www.americanspeedster.com/side-kick.htm ![]() I have everything NEW purchased except for the seats, battery, and the 1 1/4" PCV Tubing. This thing uses PCV 1/1/4" for the frame. The lower frame rails also have an 1 1/4" chain link fence pipe inside for added strength. Question? Would it be possible to use aircraft grade 6061T6 ROUND ALUMINUM TUBING? Can i glue the PVC joints (elbows etc) into this tubing? Just slowly moving along on collecting stronger materials if possible. I am worried about fatigue of the 1 1/4" PCV pipe. Any suggestions? Thanks for looking. ![]() I want it to look nice and be right so i am not assembling it myself.

After a search i think this will work. Might have to ream out the PCV joint just a bit.

I wouldn't be so worried about the 1 1/4" PVC wearing down (As long as it's schedule 40) , I made a trellis for my beans in the garden (almost 30 feet long) and despite having all the weight of the bean plants on them has barely sagged. I've also made ladders using PVC (fence post inside) and my 216 lb butt has yet to break one, though years of use with grimy boots wore through the PVC and it has now been retired into the chicken pen as a roost. I'm 27 so "years" translates to about 9 now. I've been on my own since 14 though, so PVC has made me many a piece of furniture. (It's cheap y'know? )
