Help Question??????????????

I run a Kubota B7100 at work and there is no owners manual for it and I was wondering what the decompressor knob is for? Is it to change the compression of the engine?

i believe it is used when starting. basically it reduces the compression to let the starter spin it over easier

During cold starting, if facilitates the heating of the cylinder under no compression so that when it is released, the cylinder is hot enough to cause combustion. Same principle as what glow plugs do, just more manual.
