Default Ariens YT12 Mower Drive Belt

Hi guys,

I am trying to find the belt specifications for my Ariens YT12H Mower drive belt. I can find the part online but I can't seem to find the measurements so I can buy it locally. My parts manual looks like it is part number 72165

Does anyone know Where I can find this info?

Thank you!

Do you have the old belt off? If so take it with you when you go to buy a new one. Some belts will also have a number printed on them as well.

Thanks for your reply Greenenvy.

I should have mentioned this, but the reason I am in the market for a belt is that I hit a bump while mowing and the belt slipped off and was cut to shreds by the very blades it was powering. The belt ended up getting very chewed up and now I am unsure if I even have all of the pieces. I could wing it and make a best efforts measurement but I would prefer not to.

maybe someone else will chime in here and help. You got to hate it when your mower fights back and eats the belt!

Thanks for the help guys!

It turned out to be a 5/8 x 57"

I'm thrilled to have solved the mystery!
