Default MF 4850 Tiller

My cousin has one of these, just blew the gear box, watcha guys think, buy the parts new or look for a complete gear box used??

Any leads to one would be great!

Try surplus. Type in the search box "right angle gear box surplus".

This one came up first.

Measure them up, as far as I know. If the case and shafts match and the gear ratio's right, it should work.

The shafts are 3/4 ", soI don't see anything there that would work?

It is 2:1 Ration...

Try some other sites and/or change the search wording.

Are you sure it's a 2:1 ratio? Seems that I recall mine is 1:1. There's a lot of reduction in the chain drives at the end of my tiller.

not sure exactly, but there is 14 teeth on one shaft and 28 on the other gear.
that would be what 2:1 is right?
