Default My 650 John Deere Restoration (Lots of Pictures)

I finished a lengthy restoration of a 332 approximately 1 year ago. Here's the thread: My 332 Restoration. I sold that tractor to a great guy in New York last spring and I've been on the look out for my next winter project.

Last month I found this 650 MFWD for sale on TractorHouse. After some negotiating we settled on a price and I got to work.

The tractor only has 1500 hours on it, and it ran fairly well. But you can tell the previous owner neglected basic maintenance. I was told it lived outside all year and it really shows...

As I began to disassemble the tractor I found some critters and some hack-job repairs made over the years

Here's the engine off the frame:

I had the block hot tanked, and honed at the local diesel shop. The bore was right on, and some of the factory cross hatch was wore off near each pistons wrist pin. The main bearings were alright, but the thrust bearing was wore out of tolerance causing the engine rotating assembly to be off by a hair (causing the missing cross hatch).

Here's the block and head before and after:

And on to sandblasting, priming, and painting the rest of the tractor:

And here are some pictures of my home-made paint booth:

how many 650's did they make? I had never heard of it until this thread... this would be the exact size tractor i'd want for around my house. I searched craigslist and found two within MN but they are spendy.

I finished up the brakes, and installed some extra parts on the rear of the tractor today. I'm going to need some advise soon....

Question 1:
The factory rear tire is 31x15.50x15.

I would like to stick with a turf tire, but I can't find any. It looks like the Carlisle Tru-Power is my only option. If I go that route, I'll install tru-powers up front too.

Does anyone have any experience with Tru-Powers up front? Is steering harder? does it tear up the yard?

Question 2:

I need the dimensions of the roll-over bar for my tractor. It's NLA and I plan on making one from scratch. If you have one, please please please give me some dimensions and pictures
