Default Ford 2000 Ignition switch wiring

My '65 Ford 2000's ignition switch, which may have been a replacement because it was just a toggle switch, broke about a year ago. I removed it to find a replacement. Now, a year later, I can't find the switch and don't remember how many wires were connected to it, one or two. If it was one wire then I'd assume it was switching ground. Does anyone know where I could find a wiring diagram?

Is this a 3 cylinder 2000, or a 4 cylinder? You say it's a '65, so it should be a 3 cylinder model, but some claim that they made the 4 cylinders part of the way through the '65 calendar year, so I can't guess for sure. Also, since you're calling it an ignition switch, I assume that it's a gas (or LPG) engine, and not a diesel, but again that's just an educated guess.

I don't have a schematic, but I'm pretty sure that all 3 and 4 cylinder 2000 tractors had a key switch and that they all had 3 or more wires connected to the back.

Go to the new holland website click parts and service/ click search for parts/type in 2000into the model search field. You will get a menu of all the systems on your model. It shows parts and part numbers of everything. Enjoy!

Thanks guys. I did go to that site and they had a graphic of the wiring and parts locator which was very helpful. I also found another posting from MTF that had the schematic which was the missing link i was looking for. In case anyone else is interested, here it is:

Just keep in mind that the schematic you found includes the conversion to a One Wire Alternator.

That wiring diagram says it's for the 600/601 series. You never did say whether yours is a 3 or 4 cylinder 2000. If it's a 4 cylinder, then that schematic might be correct, but if yours is a 3 cylinder then it definitely is not, as the 3 cylinders did not have the separate starter switch outside of the key switch.
