Question first post w/ x500 brush guard question !

Great site guys & gals ! Just installed my bucket holder, which looks nice, and will come in handy. Remember folks, it will hold your favorite beverage on ice also !! Also just installed the brush guard on my x500. Looks nice, but has anyone fabricated the bushings, so it does not rattle and jiggle ! I'm sure i will come up with something, but thought i'd check here for help ! Thanks in advance !

Hmmmmm.... I don't have one installed (yet), but I didn't realize that the brush guard made noise or else someone would have come up with a fix for it by now.

Yup...hated that rattle! Here is what I did...

Locate the lower bolt and remove it. You will find a spacer. Grind the spacer down so it is not as long. Now when you bolt it back together and tighten the nut, it will make the whole brush guard harder to fold forward. When you put the cross rod in, pull the guard all the way forward or back to hold it against the rod and it won't rattle now either! This takes out the slop and keeps it from making noise! As for how much to grind down...when you pull it apart, it will make sense to you. The spacer makes for the slop I did both sides.

The white nylon washer is to keep the pins from scratching the frame...
