Thumbs up Great Farmall Museum In Centeral Florida

I am a total want2be, like my name indicates, but me and my 11 year old son are just tractor nuts in general, we love them all.

That being said, in my work travels I came accross a museum built, and owned by a man named Stu Paquette that is dedicated to the preservation of all things IH.

Before I visited on Saturday (yes New Years Day), I did not know much about the brand. But Stu took the time to give us a personal tour that lasted a couple of hours. His attention to detail in his resorations is amazing. Not only does he have several pieces of IH farm/industrial equipment, he also has IH appliances, a replica of a dealersip, a pulling track, an IH rifle, and 10 hours of IH promotional videos.

If you love old iron, and find yourself near centeral Florida (about 45 min north of Orlando), this is a must see. I took photos until my camera battery went dead, and believe I may have 100, or more, and did not get photos of everything.

Here is a link to his site: http://stewsihstuff.com/

While I do not know Mr. Paquette I've heard great things about his collection and about him as a person. He bought a gold demonstrator from a "friend of a friend" at last summer's "Got To Be NC" Ag Festival in Raleigh NC. From what I'm told a first class gentlemen and an amazing collection...

I believe first impressions are usually right on, and Stu makes a great one.
I don't know much about IH, but believe he has a complete colletion of the gold models. His collection of the gold ones were featured in the magazine dedicated to Farm All tractors. (sorry I don't recall what it is called)

He is planning an expansion to his collection and has just poured a 22,000 SF pad for another barn to house all the new additions he plans to add. He has about 15, or so pieces of old iron waiting to be brought back to life and put on display.

He is also hosting a show, for all colors, on his property in March of this year. It sounds like a great time for all.

I think you and your son would maybe enjoy a CUBFEST. Its Farmall Cubs which was the smallest Farmall tractor made. GO TO Farmallcub.com and find the FLA CUB FEST date. I think its in Feb .I could be wrong. Check it out.

Thanks Roger, I checked it out. It is in February in Sneads, FL. Between 4 1/2 - 5 hours from me. I see a weekend trip in our future. Maybe.
