I had the same problem w/ my Snow Commander. You need a new needle and seat. I'm pretty sure.

Yup sounds like the needle and seat. If you feel comfortable tearing into the carb its a very easy fix and shouldnt cost to much at all.

Go to toro.com
lower left select homeowners manuals
type in model number click search
select serial number range
click on look up parts
scroll down, see if carb is a choice if not, click next
select your carb
parts numbers on the left scroll box

You can also go to partstree.com and try toro as maker and the model number
if that doesn't work, try briggs and the actual carb part number from the toro site.

Thumbs up Re: toro 3650 snow thower leaks fuel at air intake

JT
Thanks,
Got needle and seat ordered. That is a 2000 model. Floats for that carb are no longer available according to Partstree.com. I was able to get gaskets. I guess $700 snowblowers are only supposed to last 10yrs. Partstree folks were more than ready to help.
Thanks
Tom

Jensent, I just searched around and found the same thing. That sucks. Is it a plastic one at least? I guess don't step on it or throw it away with the paper towels when cleaning the bench

JT
Dont know if it is plastic or brass. Dont want to take it apart until the parts come. Parts came to $28 including shipping, needle and seat, gaskets and a part for the choke linkage. Partstree has been helpful every time I have contaced them.
Thanks
Tom
