Castrol 30W oil.
Change oil and filter every 50 hours
Haven't washed it for the entire winter
Same tractor as Sam's but with Auto Tranny
No chrome
Move everything with my JBJr. Moved the Queen Mary just last week.
Used to check my tires every week but I've run out of chalk and don't have anymore room on the tires for check marks.

SAM. You go boy, with 400 hours on a '04. I have about 80 on my '04' but it's not my only machine. It has the 27hp Kohler, which is pretty much the same engine as yours.
I use castrol 5/30
Change oil every 50 or so hours ( just being truthful )
I use it for: mowing, tilling, plowing, blading, cultivating, pulling/pushing cars, pulling horse trailers, pulling huge wads of brush to the burn pile. stretching fence, yanking t-posts and pulling up the septic tank lid is all I can think of right now.

Dang, it's a DGT6000, so just disregard this post I guess.

That is about as many things as I use mine for. One thing mine DOES NOT do and that is make coffee and wash the chrome. Thanks a lot. SAM / SAMSRAM

Jeez, I just put a great big long detailed post and my system farted. So, a little less detailed ...

First oil change after 25hr break in
Use 'Formula' synthetic (Canadian Tire brand) 10w30 in summer 5w30 in winter.
Change oil every fall and every spring.
Use penzoil PZi-21 oil filters.
Change air filter every spring.

A very humble 130hrs since spring of 2004 when I bought it. (Sam, your wife must be jealous; or really enjoying her peace and quiet )

Cut work property every 2 weeks - approx 5 acres.
Grade parking lot at work - approx 250' x 100' (4 times first year, 3 times second year)
Use JBJr to move around tandem truck load of gravel dropped at company property each spring for parking lot (really want power dump upgrade)
Cut home property weekly this summer - 3/4 acre (lent my LTX1000 to a friend in need)
Blow snow on 4 driveways approx 15' x 80' - 1.5 seasons so far.

Check belts every mow/blow
Don't check tires as they are loaded with WWF
Cleaned and waxed it like a trophy first year. Neglected her year 2 (and likely from now on).

Takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'.
(good to know I've got at least another 300 hours to look forward to)

Bill

Thanks a lot Bill. Jeannie came out here as I was reading your post and boy did we both have a good laugh She said if you really only knew how much time I do spend on that thing. Gotta be nice to her, after she saw your cab she said DEAR YOU NEED TO GET ONE OF THEM. BUT NO MORE CHROME. I did not say it in my first post but I also use WWF in all four tires but still check them now and then. Have a good one Bill.

If Bruce can post about his DGT then I can post about old poopy, the GT 3000.

I dont knows how many hours it has, several hundred I'm sure. It gets an oil change about 4 times a year, or if I think it looks dirty. I use Mobil 1 now, but it cut its teeth on Valvoline 10W-30. A while back I posted about my adventures replacing the hydro fluid. I used 20W-50 synthetic and made quite a mess but had some fun and got it done. It seems like out here where it is so dry and dusty, keeping the air cleaner clean is just as important as oil and needs to be done pretty often.

I have been very impressed with the Kohler 23 HP engine in this thing. Never a problem since I've had it.

Still have only 2 hours on mine 26hp B&S 48" Auto. Purchased 10/2004 Not using can you tell? Have been using the 21/48 Husky Vanguard, still only 20 hours on it, started using this late summer.
